There are thousands of writing blogs in the world. Thousands, if not millions, of people who talk about the ins and outs of writing. Some are experienced authors and agents and editors. Some are people who have no idea. Some fall in between. So, you're probably asking---what makes this blog so special?
The answer to that: Nothing.
We created Tangled because we are passionate about writing. Each of us are coming from somewhere different. We are on various levels of writing--and we happened to find each other along the way. Over the last two years, we've all achieved a lot of new (and unexpected) things, which is why we've expanded and added some new writers. Our mission is still the same: to provide writers a place to connect, to grow and to talk about realistic things. We've always know that if we were in such a need for each other, maybe you reading this has the same kind of need.
Tangled is a place where we can talk about the writing journey, about different aspects of writing, and (our biggest goal) build a community of writers. We need each other and we can learn so much from each other. That is why we are here.
No matter where we are in the journey-- writing books or editing books. Agented or unagented. Published or not -- we are all writers. Our experiences are shared experiences, and that's what Tangled Up In Words is all about.

We are not an advice blog. Again, there are hundreds of great places you can go for advice. We've even complied some for you in our Resources for Writers, which we will update with your suggestions as well. Those are the people who know what they are talking about. We are still learning, still growing, still trying to figure it out. Along the way we may share our struggles or experiences, but that's not our goal.
We're here for the writing.
We are not here to brag or tell people why we're awesome. (Even though we are.) We're here to be honest. To struggle with you. To grow with you. To learn from you. To walk with you. It's not about us or promoting ourselves or our writing--it's about all the other things. The smaller things that inspire us, push us together and keep us going when all we want to do is quit.
